Stuffed Peppers

Welcome to my blog and thanks for following! The writings are created by me, Jennifer Alfia DiMarzo and the material presented this week are photographs also taken by me based on the subject matter of food. We hope that you may be able to join us once a week, throughout the next year on our creative journey! Enjoy!

Their bright green tops were cut off with the sharpest kitchen knife in the toolbox.  Their interiors were scooped out like hollow wooden dowels.  Their skin ever-so-soft, caressed in olive oil and neatly placed into three hundred and fifty degrees before filling with their interior belongings.  Tasty parmesan risotto, resembling beach sand, was cooked to perfection and neatly set aside.  The Italian mixture of veggies, finely chopped and carmelized to preciseness, was patiently awaiting where it would reside.  Juicy, ground sausage sizzled with seasoning.  Each green delicasy was fork lifted ever so lightly from the hot temperature, then tipped carefully to empty any excess water into the drain hole.  It was now time to build the first floors of these homes.  The sausage, veggies and risotto got along so well along the lower level.  A medium sized handful of mozzarella sprinkled over the colorful first floors added the needed texture.  A heaping scoop of homemade chunky tomato sauce spread evenly onto each of their roof tops like new tar on pavement.  The next layer of interior filling was added onto the second floors with the addition of more mozzarella and sauce over the roofs, flowing onto all four sides.  These finished model homes would now bake fully in the hot structure made just for them.  After thirty minutes, their appearance was even more pleasing than their unfinished look.  The lunch horn rang and the five construction workers took their seats.  One forkful proved the building process a success.
