Sandwich House 1804

Welcome to my blog.  The writings are created by me, Jennifer Alfia DiMarzo and the paintings presented are the original works of my husband, Dean DiMarzo.  We hope that you may be able to join us each day, throughout the next year on our creative journey! Enjoy!

The well dressed woman was approaching me rather quickly.  I wanted to be polite so I shuffled as far to the right as I possibly could, without falling off the sidewalk.  I noticed the woman shifting her purse to her other shoulder as she took the time to look towards me with a pleasant smile.  I thought to myself that her acknowledgement was something I had never felt before in this town.  I continued walking towards the stoic barn, the one I always admired.  Not a single soul was ever present, but I felt today that others had walked along its path leading towards the geometric shaped barn door.  I looked towards the second story window with all of its chipped and torn white sash.  As usual, it appeared to be empty and extremely dark.  I wondered the many secrets that were hidden inside.  I curiously tried jiggling the barn door latch and found that for once, it popped open with a loud snap.  I knew this day was going to be an extra special one.  I looked around and behind me to see if anyone was nearby.  I spotted the well dressed woman, down on the corner, grinning at me from the distance.

  2. Hey Mrs. Dimarzo!! Love this photo. :) It's really cool! I love the idea that you're doing a blog ... it's great! haha. To get more followers you could always make a Tumblr ... (I don't know, for us it's pretty popular now ...) but it's pretty much the same thing as this ... just a bit different! Anyway, hope all is well :) & hope to talk to you soon! :)

    xoxo -- Britt
